thetwentydollarclub: Not cool. UGHHHHHHH I miss those things! Oh the childhood memories spent in this tunnel (alongside my mom of course). I used to sit down on them and make believe all sorts of things. I assume they took them out due to maintenance costs, and to possibly accommodate more traffic flow. I quite miss them.

Thestar.com - Christopher Hume: The design of the TTC Haha, I love how openly opinionated Christopher Hume is. His cute wrinkles and urban liberalness makes me smile. I actually pass through both these stations every day (although without getting off the train). I agree with everything he said, but I still love Eglinton West station for it’s interior.

How can you build a house in the middle of a...
You’ve already displaced as many as 5-10 trees to build your house, not to mention all the grass, plants and shrubbery at ground level that often convert more CO2 to oxygen than some trees. It’s best to simply work with the space we’ve already cleared, and use it efficiently.

Things are really frustrating me right now.
A number of things really, and there’s not much I can do about them either. It’s getting me down, and hindering my motivation at the worst possible time. Sorry for being vague. I guess this is more for me than anyone else.

Streetsblog New York City » European Parking... →
Across Europe, cities have come to understand that oversupply or subsidy of parking leads to too much driving. The effect is considerable. In Vienna, for example, when the city began to charge for on-street parking, the number of vehicle kilometers traveled plummeted from 10 million annually to 3 million. In Munich, the introduction of a new parking management system has resulted in 1,700 fewer...

I think a guy at my work has been ‘coming on to me’. He talks to me very frequently, (more so than others, and in that care-free gangsta slang kinda way), he keeps making jokes regarding guys and male parts, and he’s super nice to me… all the time. I often catch him looking at me through the corner of my eye. Then again, I could be wrong. It’s all very entertaining...

I am now accepting suggestions. Because I’m too lazy and lacking creativity to think of one myself.

Rob Ford wants to make Toronto “world class” by... →
thisriver: Since when did having a NFL football team make any city “World Class”? Last I checked, there’s better ways to achieve that including improving transit and investing in cultural things like the arts. Having an NFL team might appease a select few, but with the track record that Toronto’s other teams have had, I can’t see the NFL team getting far. Plus all it’ll do is put our city on the...
