They’re calling for 25 lovely degrees on Friday. I have a critical analysis due next Monday, so my plan is to do as much of it as I can between before then, and perhaps Sunday night. We’ll see how well it all goes, considering I also have to finish my 4x5 assignment for Monday. *fingers crossed*
fingolfin: mitchellgosse: I have no words to describe how unbelievably stressed I’ve been over the last week or so. I spilled a cup of soup all over my laptop last night because my body decided to sleep right when I was about to take a sip. My laptop is okay, thanks to quick thinking (unplugged the cord and batter right away), but my external hard drive is fucked. What’s really bad, is that...

Thoughts while waiting for art history to start.
More often than not, people tend to look forward to tomorrow, thinking it will somehow be better than now. And we keep doing that, thinking that we will reach this moment in the future that we’ve been looking forward to, but we never really do. We keep getting stuck in the now… where we again insist on setting our sites on the future. and why not? every day we are told to think about...
I’m never content with what I do. I live in a sort of permanent dissatisfaction....– Karl Lagerfeld (via ohyescouture) (via tiffanysphoto)
MY BRONICA SQ-A CAME YESTERDAY :D Its in pretty good condition, aside from the scratched and ugly focusing screen. It won’t affect picture quality though, and I can always buy a new focusing screen for pretty cheap. Also, I can’t test it yet since I don’t have a battery or 220 film, But I can pick them up Monday when I go downtown for school. In other news, I officially hate...
I was on my feet for 13 hours yesterday, working on stuff for school. I think I gave myself a blister or two. Anywho, I’m going to stay positive, and make like a machine and plow through all of this work ahead of me. Today the black and white portion of the 4x5 assignment is due, along with the class critique. So, I’m quite nervous, considering that I’m not all that happy with...
Then downtown to help Bekah in the studio with 4x5. Then possibly out afterwards.
Thank god for osap.
I just bought a Bronica SQ-A on ebay...
400 dollars gone. Gahh I Hope it was worth it. I can’t wait for it to come and try it out.
Camera if fixed.
My minolta x-700 that is. The light seals were heavily deteriorated, so I bought new seals and spent 45 minutes installing them. No more light leak… well, if I did it properly that is, but I’m preee sure I did.
My day consisted of:
- Get up, go to Pop Culture - Get passport photo - Realize how warm and beautiful it is outside - Go to park with Bekah - Skip Art History after concluding that its not worth missing out on such a beautiful day - Walk to Cabbagetown with Bekah (which is a wonderful neighbourhood btw) - Get ice cream at a little ice cream shoppe in Cabbagetown - Walk to Riverdale Farms, see farm animals, watch...
was more eventful than expected. And I quite enjoyed it for the most part.
Out for the day.
Optometrist appointment, meet up with Cristine, hang out, meet up with Trevor, see Alice in Wonderland, hang out some more, come home. Toodles.
I want a medium format camera asap.
I need ideas for my 4x5 assignment.
I must take: - 4 Portraits - 4 interiors OR 4 tabletops and - 4 must be black and white - 4 must be colour (these can be mix-matched) Total of eight negatives. At the end of the assignment, I only need to print four (two of each).
I’ve been falling asleep all day. I hardly got any reading done on the subway this morning because I couldn’t keep my eyes open, today in art history I started drooling on myself, and on the way home I kept falling asleep again. Probably one of my sleepiest Mondays ever.
I'm at school
